I think that people who go to the doctors for depression, get ‘diagnosed’ with it, say they have it and talk about it all the time and draw attention to it but cutting so people will be like aww whats wrong aren’t actually depressed. They’re just weak so when a little problem comes along they overreact because their life is too perfect. When you’re really depressed you suffer in silence, you dont share your emotions, you hide behind a mask because you know people don’t care and if they do it feels weird like your barriers are down. You forget you’re depressed because you’re so used to the feeling. I only realized i had it about a year ago because i’ve had it all my life so i thought that how its meant to be. But i was wrong, it shouldn’t be that way.
